Ski Area Colrodella
Col Rodella in Summer
The
large Col Rodella cable-car is also open in the summer months, from
the centre of Campitello up to Col Rodella. There are numerous excursions
that start from here. The classical Col Rodella route includes going
around Sassolungo. Setting out from the station above the cable-way,
the route takes you up to the Friedrich August, Pertini and Sassopiatto
refuges. Once you have reached this last refuge, you enter the Val Gardena
and continue the route to arrive at other refuges: Vicenza, Comici,
and Passo Sella, and then return to Col Rodella. There are, however,
many variations to this route: you can follow it anticlockwise or you
can cross Sassolungo using the Sassolungo fork along the route from
the Demetz refuge to the Vicenza refuge. Finally, there is also a pleasant
excursion returning into the town at Campitello, across the enchanted,
unspoilt Duron Valley. As always, we recommend that you study your route
carefully before setting out on any excursion.
Countless other routes start out from
Col Rodella and those looking for more information about all possible
excursions can consult the summer pages about excursions in the Fassa
Valley on our web site www.dolomitinetwork.com.
