Enjoy the panorama from Sass Pordoi, the natural balcony of the Dolomites

Sass Pordoi is not a Ski Area, but going up in the cable car to an altitude of 3,000 m is an experience you will remember for the rest of your days. By no means do we exaggerate when we say that Sass Pordoi offers one of the most spectacular panoramas in the Alps. As well as being able to admire the whole of the Fassa Valley from above, it is also easy to recognise the shapes of the various mountain groups of the Dolomites: Sella, Pordoi, Sassolungo, Catinaccio, Monzoni, and Marmolada as well as the Dolomite mountain groups in Val Gardena and Val Badia.

The station further up is ideal for savouring typical local and Trento specialities in the new and panoramic refuge, Rifugio Maria, which offers a bar, restaurant and self service restaurant.
